I planed to do reviews for several atomizers, but I was so busy these days. I just came across a new RTA this week and I now have it used for days. It brings a very good flavor, and I love the part that it doesn’t leaks at all. That is the Doggystyle 2K16 style RTA from SJMY. As you all know. I have several SJMY atomizers. Le Mirage Style RTA is one of may favorite as it brings me good taste of my juice. This Doggy is even more better. It has a 2 post design for coil building , much easier for building than on Le Mirage.
Here we starts, many pictures coming.
The package takes the design as SJMY always be, the plain yellow box with logo “SJMY”, and a sticker with Doggy Paw logo as the original.
Simple in the box. the RTA, some spare o-rings and screws, as usual a woven bag of “SJMY”. The one I get does not come with drip tip.
Specifications:
510 threading connection;
Capacity: 3.5mL;
316 stainless steel;
Quadrant Tank;
Adjustable airflow from the bottom;
Diameter: 22mm
Take a close look at the Doggy style Tank. Frosted PC tank, nice cut stainless steel. no rough edges. Have to say SJMY have this tank in good quality as usual.
The airflow of this doggy tank comes from the bottom, with adjustable ring. One thing I don’t like about this airflow adjusting ring is it makes me not easy to screw out the top cap. I take the ring down every time then screw out the pc tank.
Just take the tank apart.
The building deck comes with good peek insulator. The positive pin is fixed by the bottom screw. The center pin has 2 holes for airflow on the body, and air comes from the bottom holes on the deck then through the center pin and goes underneath the coil. then through the chimney to mouth.
Nice building deck cut and no rough edges. From the pin you can see the airflow system.
They commandeered me to have a 8 wrap 2.5mm diameter of 0.25mm kanthal coil, which will end up with around 1.8ohm, but I didn’t have 0.25mm kanthal in hand so I used the 0.32 (28GA) one, 6.5 wrap and 2.5mm diameter. End up with 1.1ohm.
Cut the cotton to the right length and adjust it on the side. Drop the juice and hit a try.
Take a look at the chimney, Doggystyle 2K16 logo on one side and the other side with dogge paw logo. My serial number of this tank is 385. SJMY has different numbers on every single tank.
There’s a gap on the building deck for the chimney. I don’t know what’s for, but it seems this helps to prevent leaking I think.
Fill the tank with the juice and screw in the bottom deck.
The tank looks beautiful with juice in and the frosted PC tank get more clear with juice in. Here I used a PEI drip tip for Doggystyle RTA. The drip tip is made by SJMY too.
Well, all done, puff and enjoy your vaping.
Some summary.
This RTA really brings good flavor of the juice. I used 14W with the 1.1ohm coild I built and get the best flavor I think. I tried hit up to 20W, the cloud is warm, no burning taste, this is good. Then to 30W, a little bit hotter, the taste become thicker, not as sweet as before, no burning taste either. I used the istick 30W, an old mod I like. I may try to use on higher power if possible. But I think istick is enough for me.
Pros: 1. Good flavore. 2 Easy building, 3 Good quality build.
Cons: 1. Airflow o-ring makes it not easy to take the tank out. 2 Refilling not easy. 3 PC tank, may not be durable.
